Last Sunday was one of those special days I will remember for a long time. I had the opportunity to visit the studio of Helena Hernmarck and have lunch with her and some girlfriends. Of the artists working in tapestry today, she stands without peer. Jack Larsen put it best:
"She triumphs over limitations to create an art form that goes beyond craft without losing its durable virtues."
And she is a lovely, humble and gracious woman I am happy to now know.
